Burning Books. d[O_o]b

Hello All,

I hope you’re all doing well since the last update. We’re all doing great. And, thus begins our journey… Since we’ve arrived in Germany, I don’t know about you, but we’ve been craving (at least Beau and I), a great beer. A beer to end all beers. The Beer. And, yes, my friends, we’ve finally found that beer. Since the beginning of our existence as Hamburg citizens, we’ve been searching for Newcastle’s Brown Ale, and – sure enough – Beau found it at none other than an English used book store. Haha, awesome! Who would’ve though. It’s a shame that it’s in a can though, oh well – beggars can’t be choosers, eh? Seeing as how it was an English book store, we also have some more reading material to… well, read. Right now, Brandon is reading “The Great Divorce” by C.S. Lewis, Johnny is reading “The Old Man and the Sea” by Ernest Hemingway, Beau is reading “Our Mutual Friend” by Charles Dickens, and I’m currently reading “Fahrenheit 451” by Ray Bradbury… the guy’s a genius. Maybe the books are a bit cliche, seeing as how they are all famous authors, but hey, there is a reason for that. Good stuff. Haha.

Last night, we went to a steak house restaurant called The Arizona… oh yeah… I know what you’re thinking… “Travis, the steak was probably delicious, and you’re a really cool and friendly person.”… Thank you, and yes it was delicious. 🙂 I wish you could have all been there. We ate steak. It was delicious. After the steak we went to Chris and Gwen’s house for a band meeting. We discussed the direction that we wanted to take regarding touring, recording and the like (I can’t give too many details, but you will all be crazy excited). It reignited a fire within each of us, not to say that it was out or anything, but by putting more things into perspective we were able to become excited again. It’s hard to explain I guess.

Anyway, we recorded the last of the main vocals for the song that has been code-named: “This Great Revolution” (I’m still not sure about the name yet), and tomorrow we are recording the back up vocals, shakers and tambourines (oh yeah). We will update you, friends, and hopefully we will get some new videos and pictures up. Keep checking back. Watch the videos at http://www.youtube.com/onbeinghuman and leave us some feedback here. We love hearing from you! 😀

Do something that you’ve never done before. Patterns are overrated…

Cheers and, as always, Much Love,

Travis.
